Technology: Rmbl Platform Overview

Here’s the latest rundown on how Rmbl works, straight from the source. If anything changes again, I’ll create a new post and link to it because once you publish something publicly on Rmbl, it’s permanent. You meant what you said, and if not, you had ways to keep it private first. Every new ramble starts as a private draft. It’ll appear on your profile, but only you can see it. Drafts are marked with a badge and a lower opacity so you can easily spot them. From there, it’s your call: if you like what you wrote, you can publish it to the public feed. If you change your mind, you can delete the draft with one click. No pressure. No accidental posts. Once a ramble is published, it’s locked—no editing or deleting after the fact. This keeps communication intentional. When you publish, the Heat Check automatically runs to gauge how explicit the ramble is and how much effort went into it. Only rambles with a low Heat Check (safe for wide audiences) are eligible for the homepage. Think of it like basic cable TV—high-effort, thoughtful posts with mild language are open to everyone, while spicier or low-effort posts stay on your profile only. The homepage refreshes daily based on CST, and posts are ranked by their scores, which combine ratings and comments. Comments are currently sorted by most recent within each ramble. We have future plans to expand how comments work, but for now, they stay organized inside the original post. We still don't allow editing or deleting after publishing because we believe in saying what you mean—and meaning it. Use your privacy options wisely. The AI helps clean up grammar and catch anything way too explicit, but the final choice is always yours. If you have questions, feel free to comment on this post; I’ll reply when I can.
